Sledding (again)

Saturday we went up the mountain a little to the "Warming Hut." It's a little cabin type building with a fire place so you can go in a warm up. We had lots of friends come and had a great time. It's nice having the hut for people like me that can't sled and a warm place for the kids.

This gives you an idea of the sledding hill. I was standing about half way up it when I took this picture.
Celeste enjoyed sledding much more this time. We didn't start at the top, but the little hill we went down, she smiled and said, "weeeee!" all the way down!

Lookin' Cool!

She was very interested in the fire!

These next pictures are a sequence of the last run Ryan went on. It was also the crash that did his back in. (He forgets he's not as young as he used to be!) Check out the faces on this picture (below). (click on the pictures to make them larger) I think this was the exact moment he really hurt himself!

He landed on poor Ian.

There he is on the ground, not able to move so Ian can get out from under him.
Mark and Gavin were the only two that made it through the wreck! They continued on down the hill by themselves!
Luckily we did have an ER doctor there. However, Ryan was able to get up and walk down. He ruptured two discs in his back about 2 years ago so I was afraid we were going though that again. Luckily, it's not as bad and he thinks it's just muscular. He's pretty sore, but doing okay. He was the only one injured.

Celeste was exhausted! She fell asleep on the hike back to the car.

It was still a great day!

Silly

Last Sunday, she insisted on wearing her swim suit. After she got that on, she then found her boots and put them on. )You have a lot of time to kill in the mornings when you have afternoon church!) Silly girl!

She already has her pose down!

Love this girl!

Sledding

Last Saturday we took Celeste sledding. She wasn't too happy about it at first. (Maybe we shouldn't have gone right at nap time!) She still looked cute!

Daddy and Celeste sledding down the hill
Towards the end, she really was smiling!

We're going again tomorrow, but at a bigger and better hill! More sledding pictures soon!

Snow Fun!

A week ago, my mom's preschool had "Snow Day." I brought Celeste's snow gear over and we joined them!
Here she is wondering what are on her hands.

She likes to point and look at the snow, but doesn't like to walk in it or touch it. This was progress that she stood in it!

This is her best friend, Levi. His mom teaches preschool with mine. They are so cute to watch play together. I pulled them around on the sled for a little while. They really were having fun, despite what the picture looks like! (Until I accidentally dumped Celeste off...she was done after that. Opps!)

Mixed Emotions

Today was my due date. Was. On June 18, 2009, Ryan and I went to the doctor for our first appointment. During the sonogram, we discovered there was no heartbeat. I will never forget the picture of that child on the screen. At 9 weeks, I miscarried that sweet baby on Fathers Day, June 21, 2009.
It's been on my mind a lot this week, however, I'm trying not to dwell on the past and look to the future....
....Because we have been blessed with another sweet child! I am 19 weeks pregnant and all looks good! We hopefully find out the gender of the baby on Feb. 3rd. Any guesses?

After Bath Time

I decided today that I need to take more pictures so I have something to blog! So, after bath time tonight, I pulled out the camera. Here are some random pictures of Celeste playing peek-a-boo with her towel and just being her cute, fun self!

I love this picture! :)

Christmas Pictures

I know, I've totally been slacking on updating my blog. I'm sorry. Here are some pictures from our Christmas. We had a wonderful holiday and hope everyone else did as well.
Celeste first walking out to see the tree. She loves monkeys so the monkey was the first thing she grabbed and cuddled all day long.

Then she went for the bus (the two presents that weren't wrapped!) I love the excited look on her face.

Daddy and Celeste opening presents

She got a pink rocking horse from Grandma Mikesell. She loves it!

We also got a Kelty Kids Carrier. We were excited and obviously Celeste was too! She loves riding around on daddy's back!
A dirty, but cute face!
Her Christmas Loot...man she got a lot!
We went to Ryan's dad's for New Years and did another Christmas. Celeste got her first 4-Wheeler ride while there. Of course, she loved it!
