Walking

I've had some requests of a video of Celeste walking. I finally got one at my parents house yesterday. I think she's doing a great job for only walking for a week now! (Sorry, I can't get the video to flip so you'll just have to turn your head to the side.)

1 Year Indoor Photos

*Sigh* It gets harder and harder to take her pictures as she's becoming more and more mobile! Ahhhhh! I finally found some time to TRY to take her portraits. She just doesn't smile for the camera like she used to and it's hard to get her to sit still enough for even one shoot! Any suggestions from any professionals?

However, after looking at all the pictures I took, I'm actually pleased with some of them! As frustrated as I was when I was taking them, I think some turned out okay!

Celeste's new thing is to stick her tongue out. Whether she's playing or walking, she's always got her tongue hanging out of her mouth!

Hiking

On Saturday some friends of ours decided to take a little nature hike up Sinks Canyon. It was a perfect, cool day and it felt great to be outside!

The Fowlers saved us by letting us borrow their child carrier backpack. Thank you!

Celeste seemed to like it! She LOVES being outside, though!
Once she did get out of the backpack, she just wanted to walk around. In the picture she's trying to squirm out of my arms to go walk.This is everyone! Fowlers, Petersons, and then us! (all the children are mingled...try to guess who belongs to who!)

I said earlier Celeste wanted to "walk around." Let me clarify. She wanted to walk but only if holding on to one of our fingers! She has been doing this for over a month now. She can walk, and will take multiple steps back and forth to people, but just to walk around she has to have a finger. (Even though I just hang my arm down and am not hardly helping her.) But finally, on Saturday, Celeste got up the courage and started WALKING! We are so excited! And today she was actually running! She'd only get a few steps in until she'd trip and fall, but she was trying!

Old Pictures

Sorry it's been so long since I've given an update! Now here's two at once! These are just some random pictures I took a few Saturday's ago. This was Celeste's and my day. (Dad was out of town this day.)

First, was breakfast. I was just testing out the camera before we did our photo shoot.

These were all taken the Saturday I did Celeste's 1 year photo shoot outside. This is just another one of those. She's playing with a dandelion. I still need to get some indoor photos of her. I'm hoping I can get some on Sunday. I need more time!

Later, we played in the water table we gave her for her birthday. She loves it!

It was hot out....she needed a drink!

We played so hard that day, she fell asleep eating dinner.

We love this girl to pieces! I can't get enough of her! She can brighten any day and put a smile on my face at any time. We love you, Celeste!

Project

My sister-in-law gave me one of these when I had Celeste and I absolutley loved it, so, I decided to make them for my friends who have babies. This is about the 4th one I've made and it turned out to be one of my favorites. I forgot to take pictures of the other's I've made, but here is the most recent.
