Happy Halloween

Celeste was a giraffe for Halloween this year. We borrowed the costume from my good friend, Cassie. She only tolerated the costume on for short periods of time, then I think it got too hot for her. Especially at the preschool because it gets very warm in the building. I also think Celeste was a little too ever stimulated at the preschool today. It got a bit wild and loud in there today! Celeste was fussy for some of the day but still a sweetheart and always calmed down after I took her costume off and laid her down to relax a little.

Here is our cute giraffe

Are we having fun yet?

As I was passing out candy tonight, Celeste was interested in what I had in my hand. I decided to let her explore one. She was quite interested in this twizzler and loved chewing on it (through the wrapper). It was a new texture for her to chew on.

After a while, I noticed all the ink on the wrapper was gone. I decided maybe it was time to chew on something else.
Look at that face; she was thoroughly enjoying it!
Thanks Cassie for lending us the cute costume! We hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!

6 Months

Celeste is 6 months old today! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. Here she is showing off her two teeth!
Celeste is now sitting up very well. She has her 6 month check up on Thursday so I'll post her new stats then.

I am way behind on my posts so check back often for lots of updates!

Ryan's the BEST!

You all know I've been dreaming of a new camera. Well, yesterday after Ryan got home and after I woke up from my nap, I found a present sitting on our table. My dear sweet husband decided to give me my anniversary present three weeks early. We are now the proud owners of a Canon Rebel XSi.

I was so excited! I've been playing with it every free minute I've had since and can't wait to get some great shoots of Celeste! Thanks again Ryan. You are the best! I love you!

Today

I just think Celeste looks so stinkin' cute today!

And maybe you'd care to know that last Sunday night/Monday morning she cut her first tooth through! Of course, it's on the bottom and the second one is either through or it will be tonight! (I can't quite tell if I feel it or if it's really close!) If I had my way, I would have waited a few more months for teeth, but oh wells! It's still exciting!

Sinks Canyon

Ryan has been seeing a Chiropractor lately and had an appointment last Monday. I had been wanting to take some fall pictures up Sinks Canyon, so after his appointment, we headed up the canyon. (His appointments are in Lander, WY and Sinks Canyon is just outside there.) While we were in the waiting room, Celeste had a blow out; up the back and down the leg! I was unprepared and didn't have a change of clothes for her so we went across the street to the only store in Lander, Alco! (Does anyone even remember Alco?) Poor Celeste was in a diaper only as I was trying to find a somewhat cute outfit. I did find one that would work for our photo shoot! Anyways, here is our trip:

While I was goofing around with the camera, Ryan went fishing

Here are a couple shots I took. Nothing too fancy, I was just trying different settings on the camera. I still haven't bought a camera yet, but now I'm leaning towards a SLR; probably one of the Canon Rebels.

Many people have asked or commented on Celeste sitting up. The truth is she isn't sitting up super well yet. In these pictures, I am holding on to her hand. The pictures in the previous post, Ryan was helping her and would let go right as I was taking the picture. She can sit up on her own very well in grass, but on the floor, she lasts about 10 seconds. She is only 5 months though! It's coming.

Celeste was very interested in the dirt and sticks!

On our way down, we saw two Big Horn Sheep right on the side of the road.

And deer! (There are lots of deer in Lander.)

Fall Pictures

This past week or so I went out a couple of days and took some fall pictures of Celeste. I thought I'd share a few of them with you.

Ryan decided to jump into a couple of the pictures! I didn't mind one bit. Check back in the next day or two. I have a bunch of pictures to post from our little drive up Sinks Canyon we took on Monday.

Fall Fun

Last night we went to the pumpkin patch with a bunch of our friends. There were about 5 or 6 acres of pumpkins to walk through and pick out pumpkins. Ryan picked us out a very large pumpkin that we'll carve when it gets a little closer to Halloween.

Here is our little family in front of one of the piles of pumpkins that had already been picked.

Celeste isn't quite sure what we're doing!

After we were done at the pumpkin patch, we all headed over and went through the corn maze. Here are some of our friends children in the corn maze. Yay! We found the end!
Thanks everyone for a fun night!

FYI

I gave up on the no dairy/egg diet. We weren't seeing any changes with Celeste's nose and I started to wonder if I was just depriving us both of calcium. I think with me being a preschool teacher and Celeste coming with me, we live in a germ pool, and that's why she has been sick all this time. I guess we'll just continue building our immune systems! However, I do feel things are going to get better. I keep feeling the comfort of the Spirit and know it's all going to work out and be okay.
