Preschool Program

Celeste got to attend preschool this year! She was still a year young, but because her Grandma is the teacher and the numbers were low enough, she got to sneak in a year early. My mother has been teaching preschool for 30 years and has an excellent program. Celeste loved going and asked almost daily, "Is it preschool day?" It was a great experience for her. At the end of the year, they put on a program. Here are pictures from her preschool program.

Waiting for it to start

Waiting to say her name in the microphone

They all say their name and either something they like to do or what they want to be when they grow up. Celeste said, "My name is Celeste Emma Mikesell and I like to eat M's. Yum Yum!" (M's meaning M&M's)

Singing their patriotic songs

Doing Lummy Sticks

In part of the song, it says, "we shake our hips and shake our sticks to the music...music...music!" Celeste was so cute shaking her hips!

I was helping backstage and get a call from Ryan who was in the audience. He tells me, "Go help Celeste with her pants!" Apparently her zipper was down and was fixing it like this for 3 minutes. Ryan was embarrassed for her!

She did a great job and we were so proud of her! And thank you Grandma Harrison for a great first year of preschool!

New Adventure

Have you heard of Close To My Heart? It is a wonderful company who sells the best scrapbooking supplies, paper, stamps, etc. Click on the link to view their online Idea Book and learn more. I have recently joined their team and am an independent consultant for their company! I never thought I'd do something like this, but am so glad I did!

Like many of you, I'm sure, I don't have a whole lot of time to scrapbook anymore. My even bigger problem is I don't have space for a scrapbooking table and who likes to set up and down every evening when I do have time? (My husband doesn't appreciate it all over the kitchen table all the time.) I swore I'd never do digital scrapbooking, but Close To My Heart has an amazing digital scrapbooking program, Studio J, that is so super easy and fast. I LOVE IT! Anyone can whip up a two page 12x12 layout in less than 30 minutes. It's great! Try it for free by going to www.studioj.com. I am so excited to begin this new adventure and especially anxious to get scrapbooking again!

If you have any questions, want more inforamtion, a catalog, or are interested in ordering from Close To My Heart, please contact me!

Birthday Pictures

Ryan had been out of town the week of Celeste's birthday. We were so happy to see him at 6:00 the evening of her big day! We had a family dinner with her favorite, pizza, and then our families came over for presents, cake, and ice cream. I love celebrating birthdays!

This is her crown she got at preschool. She wanted to take M&M cookies to her friends in her class.

She couldn't hardly wait for presents. Here's her new bike helmet for ages 3+ but it's too small and won't even go on her head. That gift is being returned for a bigger size! (She has her daddy's head!)

THANK YOU everyone for the gifts! She is very loved!

Grandma Mikesell got her this picnic table that she loves! It's what she's eaten dinner at every night since her birthday.

Helping Daddy put it together

Cake and Ice Cream. She wanted pink cake!

She was so nice to share with Caleb

Here's Caleb's face if we didn't shovel it in fast enough. He ate more cake and ice cream that night than Celeste did!

We had a great time celebrating Celeste on her birthday and hope she felt special!

It was Ryan's birthday on the 25th, which was the day he had to leave town. I made him a nice birthday breakfast that morning, but wished I could have done more. I love the month of April because I get to celebrate a lot of birthdays!

Utah Trip

My children, mom, and I went to Utah a weekend in April to go to my cousins wedding. I unfortunately didn't pull out my camera much, but did manage to take some pictures of Celeste blowing bubbles at the reception.

She makes the funniest faces!

Catching the bubbles

These are my cousins children. They were so cute sitting on the steps blowing bubbles together! Miss you Ashlee and Ethan!

The yard was beautiful where they had the reception. I wish I would have taken some pictures of the kids in front of the waterfall while it was light out.

And on the bridge...

Celeste loves bubbles!

It was such a fun trip and great to get out of town for a few days! But the best part was seeing my cousins! I wish we lived closer!
