5 Months

Time goes too fast and I missed Caleb's 4 month picture. But here's a picture I captured last night in our quick photo shoot.

I just love this smiley boy!

Cereal

On November 8th, Caleb got his first taste of Rice Cereal. I wasn't quite ready to feed it to him but he was ready for more! And I was ready to sleep through the night and was hoping this would help. It has helped a little. As the week's gone by, he doesn't seem to like the cereal as much. I think he wants the flavorful yummy stuff!

Family Pictures

For the first time in our married life, we got professional family pictures taken! Do you have a favorite?
All pictures were taken by photographer Michelle Larsen with Celebrate Life Imagery and are copyrighted.

This is just a funny picture. It shows how Celeste was feeling about all these pictures!
Michelle was so patient with me as I kept postponing and asked a billion questions. And then she was super patient with my two children who were tired and didn't want to look at the camera. Isn't that how family pictures go with kiddos? But Michelle did a great job and I love them. Thanks a billion, Michelle!

Cousins

And lots of cousins! Ryan's siblings came into town last weekend. It's always a full house when we get together. One of his sisters has triplets that were born about 2 weeks before Caleb was. Just imagine the house when they're all one year old. Or two!
It was quite comical watching Grandma Mikesell get her picture taken with all the grandkids.

Here is Caleb with Kylar (one of the triplets). Some say they look similar.

And just a cute picture of Caleb

Remember These?

SPONGE CURLERS!
And the hour of sitting still while you're mom tugged and pulled on your hair to get them in.
And the sleepless nights because they are not comfy to sleep in!
(there is some slight exaggeration in those)
And I'm sure one day I swore I would never put them in my daughters hair!

Well, I did it.

And I think it'll be the last time I do it, too!

Or at least with the smallest curlers. Next time I'll use larger ones!
...unless she's dressing up as Annie.

Ouch

On Saturday, Sept 11th, Celeste took a nose dive off our front porch onto the cement. I think it scared her more than anything, but she was left with some battle wounds.

Blessing Day

On August 1st, Ryan blessed Caleb in sacrament meeting. It was a neat, special day for us.

I am embarrassed to say that this is our first family picture we have taken since Caleb was born. I have been terrible at taking pictures. :(

My dear, sweet, talented mother made Caleb his blessing tux. I love it! Thanks again mom. It made the outfit much more special being made by Grandma.

These aren't the greatest pictures, but they show the tux.

We love you, Caleb, and are so blessed to have you in our family.

Hogle Zoo

We took a family trip to the Hogle Zoo about a month ago. It was fun to go somewhere as a family and take a vacation. We don't get to do that very often at all.
Celeste said her favorite animal was the giraffe

Daddy and Celeste in front of the elephant

The rhinos

This was at the very end. It was way past naptime, as you can tell by looking at Celeste in this picture! ;)

Caleb slept the whole time while at the zoo

Fair Parade

I am trying to do some updating on the blog, so check back often this week for more posts!
These are pictures from the Fair Parade.
Celeste waving at the floats

Sitting next to Grandma Harrison

We sat at the top of the hill where not a lot of the children sit. Celeste got way more candy than she needs! We just stopped picking it up there was so much of it!

My little brother, Quinton, took this picture and told me to post it "just for Jared." (our older brother) So here's a John Deere for you, Jared!

See the candy all over the street? That's what it looked like in front of us!

Mission Accomplished

Celeste was finally free of any major bruises or scrapes, so we headed out to take pictures of both kiddos. And they turned out really well because Ryan took the pictures! I was happy. :)

We were trying to get the settings set right on the camera and snapped a few of just Celeste

Both children
I think this is my favorite because Caleb's eyes are open

Don't you think Ryan did a great job?

A First for Celeste

Today was Celeste's first trip to the beauty shop to get her hair cut! I have cut it twice before, but decided to take her in this time! I wouldn't normally spend money on a 2 year old to get her hair cut, but the girl that cuts my hair only charges how ever old the child was. I decided to do it for $2.00!
The rag-a-muffin before

And all her silly faces!

She sat so well and just ate her fruit snacks!

Again, her silly faces. But the after!

I think it turned out really cute! Thanks for looking everyone!
