In Our Home...

...Pigs are flying!
Celeste came down with the swine flu yesterday. It was a little scary when her fever hit 104 degrees. We were having a hard time keeping it down and if the medicine ever wears off, it's right back up to 103-104. However, as long as we can keep the fever under control, she's been fine! Here she is jumping on the bed last night!

Even though she isn't feeling great, she's still our sweet little angel! On the bright side of this all, I've been getting LOTS of cuddle time! (She's normally never cuddles with me.)

Halloween 2009

Remember this picture from last year? Trying to get Celeste's costume on this year was a similar experience!
However, on the third try, we did manage to happily get the costume on! But the picture had to be taken while the little mouse was on the move! So here is sneaky mouse.

Our Cute Little Mouse

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Multitasking

I wish I could do two things, like eating and sleeping, at the same time! However, I'm glad I don't eat every time I sleep!

Disclaimer: These pictures were taken General Conference weekend, which is why she is still in her PJ's at lunch time!

Shoes

Like most children, Celeste loves to walk around in other people's shoes!
Don't you like the tongue sticking out?!

Trip to Utah

This past weekend, we took a short trip to Utah. Saturday morning, we left 10 degree weather, 10 inches of snow, and drove over a pass with chain law and no unnecessary travel. However, the roads weren't that bad. Not the worst I've driven in. But we made it and met up with my sister and her friends at Lagoon! I love Lagoon. When you come from a place like Wyoming, to be able to go to Lagoon is a huge thing! My father and I both won 4 tickets each to Lagoon a while ago on the radio. So getting in FREE made it even better!

I didn't get many pictures of Celeste's first Lagoon experience because we were split up most of the time. I took Celeste on some rides while they others had fun on the big roller coasters.

Everyone on the Bumper Cars.
Ryan gets pretty serious about these rides!

Celeste LOVED the kiddie rides. She cried EVERY TIME we got off one. She didn't show any emotion while the ride was going but as soon as it stopped, she'd say, "more. more. more." She even went on the kiddie roller coaster!
This boat ride was one of her favorites!

Saturday night, we drove to Logan, Utah were we stayed in a hotel there. Sunday morning, we got up and went to church so we could witness the blessing of our good friends new baby, Jacob Asher Wallace. We were SO excited to be able to see the Wallaces again. And felt privileged to be invited to their family luncheon! We tried to take pictures of us all, but someone was always making a silly face whether it was one of the kids or Benson.

Nice Benson...

I could have posted a bunch more with someone making a goofy face, but decided this post was long enough!
Thanks for the fun weekend Wallaces, April, and friends!

Never a Dull Moment

If it's not an angry employee walking out on me, it's this....
Today one of our preschool mom's accidentally pushed the gas pedal instead of the break. Opps. She plowed right into the preschool building. (This is the older building we use for the preschool, not our new building we just built.) Here are some pictures of the damage.
This is the front of the building.

I posted this picture to show the window and the door. Luckily she missed the window. However, from that window all the way over to the door (by the porch light), the brick is cracked.

The Inside. Notice the door jam on the left.
For some reason this picture won't flip the right way. Anyways, this is just showing how the carpet is all bunched up now. (this is that door jam pointed out in the previous picture)

This is on the other side of the door jam. See the wall curving?
She did a number on our building!
It's hard to tell in the pictures, but the door jam is slanted in.
I don't think the pictures do it justice. It looks quite a bit worse in person. The poor mom felt horrible. Luckily it was in between classes so there was no one in the building and no one got hurt.
Oh, you might ask, "What did it do to her car?" Let me tell you...it broke the licence plate cover. That's it! In case you are wondering, she was driving a GMC Acadia.
There's NEVER a dull moment here :)

What a Week

Boy, it's been quite the week! Not only has it been a rough one at work, but Ryan and I have had to fork out a lot of money to dentists, orthodontists, and oral surgeons. It had been over 3 years since Ryan and I had been to a dentist. Ryan had some fillings coming out so he decided to set us up some appointments. (I really don't like the dentist.) This is what came from those dentist appointments of ours:

Tuesday, Ryan got his top set of braces on. He has a bad overbite and was wearing off the backs of his front teeth. It was either braces now or dentures a little while later. We choose to fork out the money and do braces now. That's what the dentist highly recommended. So Ryan will have these lovely braces on for at least two years. He's not so thrilled about the idea!
(Ryan wouldn't let me take a picture of him to post, so this is all you get, sorry!)

Now for me. About 2 years ago my top two wisdom teeth came in. No problems there and they didn't bug me. Now one of my bottom ones started to poke through and it was causing my front teeth to be sore from pushing on them. When I went to the dentist, they did the x-rays and found a cyst growing on one of my bottom wisdom teeth. The dentist highly recommended I get all 4 wisdom teeth taken out. (I knew this was coming and have been dreading it for years. That's one reason I hadn't been to the dentist for so long!) So yesterday, Ryan drove me to Jackson Hole where I went to an oral surgeon to get those big teeth taken out. I choose to be knocked out for the surgery and am so glad I was! I don't remember a thing. I'm a little sore today, but hanging in there.

(Here I am today...looking a bit like a chipmunk!)

Ryan and I can't wait until our teeth start feeling better so we can eat something more than Ramen and Chicken Noodle Soup! However, I think we've both lost 5 lbs!
