My Favorite People

Caleb loves to sleep!

She's a great big sister and loves baby brother to pieces!

I feel so lucky to be the mother of these two sweet children. They are my pride and joy. I love you both!

And I feel even more blessed to have such a great husband. I didn't get to do much for Ryan on Father's Day since I was getting out of the hospital that day, but want him to know how much I love and appreciate him. He's the best! I love you, Ryan!

As you may have noticed, Celeste has a very cheesy smile she likes to show for the camera!

Ready to go!

I haven't taken any of Ryan with him. And I haven't taken any of the whole family. I feel like an awful wife/mom! I'll post more soon!

STORY

(for those who are interested and for me so I have it written down somewhere!):

Because I was past my due date, they induced me. My doctor was kind enough to do it on a Saturday because they were booked in the OB department for this week. I had been dialated to a 2 1/2 and 80% effaced and that's what I was still at when I went into the hospital at 5:00 am Saturday morning. They got the monitors going and pitocin going at 6:00 am. My doctor came in at 8:30 and I was still at a 2 1/2. He broke my water and we waited some more. I received an epidural at about 10:00; why wait? At 11:00 I was dialated to a 3. Wow, I was making fast progress!!! I took a little nap, woke up at about 12:15 and told Ryan, "why don't you go get some lunch or something." Ryan left for a little bit while I laid there and waited some more. The nurse came in and checked me again at 1:15. Right as Ryan walks back in the room, she says, "wow, you're at a 9!" Good timing, Ryan! She went and called my doctor and got things ready. My doctor got there at about 1:35 and said, "wow, baby's head is right there!" He dressed up, I pushed through 2 contractions, and little brother was born! As you can see in the pictures, he has lots of brown hair. It's lots darker than Celeste's was! Everyone is doing well!

Wrong

My "baby ticker" says my baby is 1 day old. It's not correct! In fact, I'm still pregnant and even larger (if you can imagine that...but please don't try). If I haven't gone on my own, they will be inducing me on Saturday. There's my update! Sorry for the boring post.

...today. Large and in charge at 39 weeks!

It was so much fun to have all my family in town for a whole week. The cousins LOVED playing together!

Tayson has quite the pose! They loved to all hold hands and walk around together. It was so cute!

It wasn't easy to get all three children smiling and looking at the camera. :)

Thanks for coming to visit Jared, Julie, and Tayson. We already miss you!

First Pony Ride

While my whole family was in town, my mom arranged for the grandchildren to go for a pony ride. I was nervous and didn't think Celeste would actually get on the pony. She surprised us and loved it!

(Somehow I missed getting pictures of Elsie on the pony. I don't think she enjoyed it as much as Celeste and Tayson.)

They loved petting the dog and chasing the cat around, too!
The evening was fun and created some great memories for the kids! Thanks mom!

Graduation Festivities

My two brothers decided they needed to make a pinata for the graduation festivities. They made the pinata throughout the week and then we broke it open Saturday.
