Week 14

 Week 14: September 10-15
Lots happened this week! It was awesome! And someone was there working every day this week. Great week! :)
Sept 10-11: They put the roof on.

Sept 10th: Put in the insulation. I didn't get a picture of the walls with just insulation in so here's a picture of a scrap of insulation.

Wed., Sept 12th they measured for the sheet rock and measured for our exterior. We got to pick out our rock and siding.

Thursday, Sept 13th they delivered the sheetrock.

Sept 14-15: Hung sheetrock. They were almost done with it. When I took these pictures, it was still a big mess in the house!

(master bedroom)

(upstairs play room)

We also had two sky lights installed this week.

Things are moving right along! I can not wait until it's all completed!

Week 12 and 13

Week 12: Aug 27-30

We have a front door and windows!

All the electricity was ran, light switches, light fixtures, etc. were put into place.

Put the gas fireplace in.

Heating/Cooling was completed

Plumbing was completed

Week 13: Sept 3-6

Not much happened. They were supposed to insulate but because our roof wasn't on, they were afraid of it getting wet.
Instead, this week our contractor moved a beam in the basement, opened this walkway up at the bottom of the stairs,

and framed in our utility/storage room.

This week they also did our inspection which went well. Our contractor had to make one minor small change and that was it.

I'm caught up on my house updates.....phew!

This next week they are insulating, putting up drywall, and putting on the roof! (hopefully it all gets done.)

6 foot jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. It's big! Our contractor said to me, "How do you like your tub? You'd drown in it!"

Kids bathroom

Kitchen

Family Room

Looking down the hallway to the 3 kid bedrooms and bathroom (the master bedroom is on the other side of the house)

The front kid bedroom

They built the stairs to go upstairs this week!

This is the upstairs/loft. One big play room! Where all the toys will be stored and will stay there! No more toys in the living room for all the guests to see! I'm very excited about this!

Thanks for looking!

April's Home!

On August 1st, April returned home from her full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was serving in the San Jose, California Spanish speaking mission. She was a wonderful missionary and blessed the lives of so many. We are so proud of her.

Celeste, Caleb, and Elsie spent a lot of time making this sign for her.

Everyone watching out the window for her plane.

The plane was about an hour and half late. It was about 9:30 when she got in.

Coming in the airport from the plane.

Aunt April with her neices and nephew with her sign.

It's been great having April home! However, she's already off to college. At least we can text and call each other! Good luck at BYU this semester, April! We love you!

Week 10

Week 10: August 13-16

Tuesday, Aug 14th the crane came and they put up the trusses.

That week they also put up most of the plywood on the roof.

They framed the walls that the plumber would need framed. The plumber was scheduled to be here the following Monday (Aug 20th).

This picture is taken from the living/family room. The back corner is Celeste's room and then the bathroom is the framed room there.

The master bathroom. HUGE!

Laundry room (next to the master bath)

The family room

It's starting to look like a house! Yipee!

Stairs were completed

I'm going to stop saying what's supposed to happen this coming week because I'm always wrong. Let's just hope for some big changes and lots of progess the next 2 weeks. :)
