Story of the Day

I have to share this story. We're sitting in sacrament meeting today with my mother and because of the holiday weekend, there is maybe 75 people in the whole chapel. They're passing the sacrament and it is completely silent. You could have heard a pin drop. Due to the lack of young men, my father is helping pass the sacrament. Right as he gets to our row to allow us the opportunity to partake of the bread, Celeste toots. It wasn't a quiet toot. I knew I was about to be embarrassed. I'm waiting for her to say something. And what does she say? In what seemed to be a loud voice, she says, "Toot! Grandma toot!" So here I am trying to partake of the sacrament and can't stop laughing and trying to be quiet. My mom is bright red. The people in front of and behind us are trying not to laugh. It was a moment that I'll never forget! Thanks for letting me share!
P.S. I have repented for my irreverence.

Quinton's Graduation

On May 23rd, my youngest brother graduated from high school. We're so proud of you, Quinton!
Here he is giving his valedictorian speech.

His favorite pose.

Quinton and my parents.

Celeste absolutely LOVES her "Un Qu-Qu"
All of my siblings
The whole family. This is the first time we've all been together in about 2 years. This pictures is embarrassing for me because I look like a fat cow! After sitting in that hot gym, I was swollen and don't forget the fact that I am 15 months pregnant!

A random picture of Tayson (my brothers son) letting Celeste smell the dandelions.

And Quinton is off. Good luck at BYU this fall!

WE LOVE YOU QU-QU!

Opinions Wanted

Are you a digital scrapbooker?
With our family growing, we had to give up our "hobby room." Therefore, all my scrapbooking stuff was packed away in a tote and left in the back of a closet. If you are a scrapbooker, you know as well as I do that I'm not going to see it much at all until I have a new hobby room (new house...which isn't going to happen for a long time!) Due to this, I'm throwing around the idea of doing digital scrapbooking. This is where I need your opinions. Where do you go to do your digital scrapbooking? What are the pros/cons? Do you enjoy scrapbooking digitally? And what's the cost of going digital? (I have started playing around with one but I'm curious how the cost compares to other places.)
Thanks for your opinions! I appreciate it.

Birthday Pictures

Here are a few pictures from our little family birthday party we had for Celeste.

This is the extent of my cake decorating skills. Celeste wanted a puppy on her cake. This plastic puppy was much easier than drawing one! She is also into the color blue so she wanted a "blue cake." Blue writing had to do!

Celeste is very loved and received more presents than she needed!

She was very excited for her new shoes!

She also got a play kitchen set from my mom (pictured above). I'll get some pictures of her playing with it soon to post. She likes to "cook dinner!"

I attached these sun glasses to the top of her present. She loves glasses and wears these almost all the time now.
This was her reaction to every present. She's such a ham!

Grandma Mikesell got her a new bike

Celeste LOVES being outside, so we got her this to play outside on this summer.

I still can't believe she's already 2! We love you Celeste and hope you had a great birthday!

Egg Hunt

I figured I had better post some Easter pictures tonight before we get more in the morning!
This morning we took Celeste to an Easter Egg hunt. Our local grocery store puts it on and there is pretty much a bunch of candy down the isles that the kids go pick up. Celeste got the hang of it well...she'd only pick up the yummy stuff! It was also nice that she's still 1 year (barely) so she didn't have to be pushed around by older kids.
She loves the color blue and wanted to pick up all the "blue things."

Holiday's are so much fun now that she's older and gets to participate in these fun activities!
Have a great Easter weekend!

Easter Eggs

Friday night we dyed Easter Eggs with Celeste. It was so much fun. Enjoy the pictures!
This is Celeste's new cheesy grin she does when I pull out the camera. She refused to actually put the egg in the dye and insisted Mom did it. I didn't mind, though, because it saved on the mess!

She enjoyed coloring on them with Crayons.

And painting on them with Q-Tips.

Here she is showing off her master piece!

This is supposed to be showing her blue hands. We actually did pretty good and didn't make a huge mess.

And when she got bored with the eggs, she grabbed the nearest ad that was on the counter and started "reading" it.
Happy Easter Everyone!
